Learn To Drive
Driving Instructor in Burton on Trent

Before starting your driving lessons
Before you start your driving lessons you must have a provisional driving licence. If you do not have one you will need to apply for one from the DLVA. You can apply for your licence up to three months before your seven-teenth birthday, but it is NOT valid until you are seventeen. You can apply online by going to http://www.direct.gov.uk or by filling in a form available from your nearest post office.
You can start to learn to drive as soon as your provisional licence becomes valid. However you can not book your test until you have passed the theory/hazard perception test.
You can book a theory/hazard perception test online with a few days notice and recieve your test results straight away. The wait for practical driving tests is typically 6-8 weeks.
You can start driving lessons before you take your theory test, combining your theory study with your practical study. This will give you the advantage of being able to ask your instructor about the theory and hazard perception tests and also make use of the teaching aids we will have available to help you.
Learning to drive should not be a stressful time and we at M & M Driving School are here to help you achieve your aim of a full driving licence as quickly and safely as possible.
Once you have passed your driving test we will be there to help you develop further skills for a lifetime of safe driving and lower insurance premiums.
